The Komoka Kings are pleased to announce that 2005-born forward Alex Akena has re-signed with the club for the 2025-2026 season.
Akena, who stands 5’11/191 pounds, spent last year in Komoka. He played in 42 games, notching eight goals and six assists for 14 points, all of which were career highs. He played in all situations last season, on the power play and penalty kill, and ranked first among Kings forwards in ice time/game (minimum 25 GP).
Akena is entering his third season in the league, after spending 2023-2024 with the Sarnia Legionnaires.
